MEDIUM-SIZE COMPANY WITH HEART & SOUL

At J. Schneider Elektrotechnik family values have been written in capital letters, right from the start. Nothing has changed in this regard, since J. Schneider founded the company in 1939, to today. It all started with a repair shop for electrical machines. Now as a medium-size company, J. Schneider has approximately 400 employees working in the three Offenburg locations.

1939
Johann Schneider starts a repair shop for electric motors and thus lays the cornerstone for future development of the company.
1965
The first switchgear and controllers are built.
1968
At J. Schneider Elektrotechnik a new business unit is added with construction of transformers.
1972
Karl Schneider takes over management of the company. Transformation to an industrial enterprise commences.
1982
The family company develops the first electronic power supply devices.
1999
Bettina Schneider and Rolf Anti take over management of the company
2019
The Electronics business unit moves into the new Plant Three on Max-Planck-Strasse in Offenburg.
