| Short descriptionThe C-TEC 30-250 MF-CF series DC buffer module uses ultracapacitors for energy storage. In normal operation, these capacitors are charged from an external charging unit. If the supply is interrupted, the energy stored on the ultracapacitors is available to the load as a buffer. The buffer module continues to supply the load until it is discharged. The length of buffer time available is a function of the charge level of the capacitors and the discharge current.
For the monitoring, a CMS unit is required, which monitors several modules via bus. The buffer module offers the following advantages:
