Transformers from Offenburg

Transformers from Offenburg are used in the Windpark Rauhkasten / Steinfirst

At the end of June 2017 the completion of the new Windpark Rauhkasten / Steinfirst close to Gengenbach is planned. Transformers from J. Schneider Elektrotechnik are in use of this project of the wind turbine manufacturer Enercon and the city Gengenbach. The wind farm designed and built by the Enercon consists of four wind turbines each with an output of 3.0 MW. The transformer specialist J. Schneider Elektrotechnik from Offenburg supplies the oil-insulated transformers with an output of 3500 kVA for these four wind turbines. The transformers are installed in the lower level of the 115 meter high tower. The voltage, generated by the wind power plant will be transformed to a level of 20 kV to the MV grid. J. Schneider Elektrotechnik has already supplied Enercon with several transformers for wind power plants around the world, 10 employees from the "Enercon Group" of J. Schneider Elektrotechnik took the opportunity to visit "their" transformers on site. Construction supervisor Rainer Bremer explained to the Schneider employees how the wind turbines are working and their advantages.
